Bagpipes

After the construction of the pifferos, Mirco Inguaggiato has undertaken in autonomous way the construction of bagpipes “a paru”. In the same way as the pifferos, they are made of Olivewood, Cherry-tree and Manna-ash.

The external design originates from the personal taste of the lutist, but it can be arranged with the musician. The main chanters (right and left) are composed of two turned on a lathe and embedded pieces.

The bag can be natural (in goatskin) or artificial.

In order to enhance the aesthetic value, all the components of the instrument can be finely decorated through carving or pokerwork. For the pipe and the reed, the wood is personally cut and seasoned, following the oldest methods handed down from the experience and the professionalism of the past generation families.

The bagpipes can be realized in all the tonalities.
